Sharks high among CASL top swimmers

Connor McNulty and Delaney Haralson are two of the youngest swimmers who are ranked among the top 10 overall performers in Central Arkansas Swim League meets this summer.
McNulty, 12, ranks second in the 50-yard breaststroke, the highest ranking of any pre-teen. McNulty is also seventh in 100-yard Individual medley
Delaney Haralson, 10, is sixth in 100-yard IM and is the youngest swimmer to make the rankings.
The rankings are one the CASL website and are current going into this week’s final regular season meet. Sherwood is at Cabot.
The annual Meet of Champions is scheduled for July 18 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Ashley Lewis, 15, is ranked seventh in the backstroke and seventh in butterfly.
A pair of 13-year olds are also on the list, Sher Arnold, 13, fifth in breaststroke, and Leila Kerr, 13, seventh in the breaststroke.
Shan Scott, 16, and Chris Heye carry the top rankings for the boys. Scott is third in the 100-yard IM and Heye, 13, is fourth. Heye is the highest ranking young swimmer. He is also 10th in the breaststroke.
Scott is also sixth in the breaststroke.
Will Axsom, 16, is fifth in the freestyle and 10th in the backstroke.
Jay Means, 17, is fifth in the breaststroke and ninth in the butterfly.
Samuel Scott, 14, is sixth in the butterfly and 10th in freestyle.
In age rankings, Katelyn Henderson, 8, is first in the 25-yard freestyle and breaststroke. Gracie Greer, 8, leads the rankings in the backstroke.
Joseph Potts, 7, leads the 7-8 rankings in the backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and 100-yard IM.
Haralson leads the 9-10 in freestyle, butterfly and IM. Thomas Heye, 10, leads in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and IM.
McNulty leads 11-12 in freestyle, breaststroke and IM.
The Sharks have won the last six CASL titles and have not lost a match this season.
