Tribe to host Gospel Sing
The 19th annual Gospel Sing event will be held from 1-6 p.m. May 19 at the Cherokee Heritage Center, 21192 S. Keeler Drive in Park Hill, Okla. The free, outdoor event will include several groups performing, and conclude with a hog fry dinner. Participants should bring lawn chairs.

Child safety expo planned
The Fort Smith Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a free child safety expo from 1-5 p.m. May 20 at the church parking lot, 4321 Jenny Lind Road. The event will include bicycle safety inspections and adjustments; a bicycle riding course; car seat safety checks; sheriff's department child ID and fingerprint stations; and tours of a Life Flight helicopter, an ambulance and a fire truck. Water will be available along with hydration tips, and Kona Ice snow cones will be available for purchase.
Participants should bring their own bicycles and helmets. The church also will give away two boys' and two girls' bicycles at the end of the day. Call the church at (479) 646-8567 for information.
