Jacksonville High School had seven students receive awards in the ASU Beebe Sr. High Art Contest. Awards were given for paintings and drawings in each grade level 10-12. Participating schools were limited to 10 entries per school. Students winning awards from Jacksonville were: 12th-grade students Jessica Gomez, First Place; Kitana Holland Second Place; and Caylee Woodall, Third Place 11th-grade students Jessica Harris, First Place; Brittany Kalina, Second Place; and Nathan Hilliard, Third Place; 10th-grade students Chris Erkel, First Place. These students’ drawing and many more will be on display in the school’s media center gallery. Several students have had their work purchased and others will be available during this final exhibit of the year.
