The Jacksonville Lady Red Devils used every player on the bench while picking up a 60-48 win over the North Pulaski Lady Falcons.

The Lady Devils held a big lead early, surging ahead 24-14 after the first quarter and 31-20 by halftime. Jacksonville recognized that their full court press could give the Lady Falcons trouble and used that to build a lead, then allowed some of the bench to help maintain that lead.

Sacha Richardson took on more of a scoring roll in the win, leading the Lady Red Devils with 16 points. Tiffany Smith used her long range shooting to score 12 points, all in the first half. Markela Bryles scored all nine of her points in the second half.

North Pulaski received a very solid game from their freshman point guard Allison Scott. Scott matched Richardson as the game’s high scorer with 16 points. Ilyeia Carter added nine points for the Lady Falcons, who played evenly with the Lady Red Devils for most of the second half.

The Lady Red Devils suffered a tough loss on Friday when they dropped one 63-58 to Little Rock Christian.

Jacksonville trailed by 17 points at one point in the game, but came storming back to pull within two points with just over two minutes remaining to play.

Bryles had a big night for the Lady Devils, leading all scorers with 21 points. Smith added 14 points for Jacksonville.
