First Baptist Church Maumelle, 100 Valencia Drive: The church welcomes all women for a weekly Bible study and get-together called Friend Me. The hour-and-a-half get-togethers begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of the Activities Building. Each of the six get-togethers are designed to take away the insecurities and awkwardness of joining a new group in a friendly and non-threatening way. The sessions will include Bible study, discussion, prayer and food. The $10 fee covers the literature expense. Graves Memorial Baptist Church, 4617 Oak Grove Road, North Little Rock: The guys will be going to Wild River Country leaving the church at 4 p.m. July 18. The cost is $15. Also, they will be going swimming at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, leaving the church at 4:30 p.m. July 25. There is no cost to the swimming trip.
A mission trip to Nebraska from the church will be July 21-28. Everyone is welcome to volunteer, including singles, those who are married, youth and children.
