First Baptist Church of Maumelle, 100 Valencia Drive: The church invites you to join in exploring the Scriptures through in-depth studies for both women and men. The men are meeting from 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday evenings in the activity building for prayer and Bible study from I and II Thessalonians.

This eleven-week study is a powerful picture of the ministry of the apostle Paul, the dynamics of an early church, and one will receive the encouragement of our hope in Christ.

First Christian Church of Maumelle, 4001 Club Manor Drive: The sermon will be "Roundabout Reversal" from the Old Testament book of Esther. Enjoy a church potluck after the morning service.

First United Methodist Church of Maumelle, 1201 Edgewood Drive: The United Methodist Men’s group will host a "Wild Night Out" for outdoorsman and their children at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, in the family life center. The outdoor night will include a potluck of wild game by members. There will be award prize for the best dish. Also a live auction which will include hunting and fishing trips, cabin stays, and other things that outdoorsman will love. Special guest speaker will be Bryan Hendricks, the Outdoor Sportsman editor. Ticket are $5 and all proceeds will go towards the mission and ministries of UMM.

Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, 449 Millwood Circle, Maumelle: The Sunday School fall season has begun with the youth "The Growing in Christ." Sunday school is available for ages Pre-K through adult. A traditional service is held at 8 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. for a blended service. A family Bible hour for all ages is at 9:20 a.m. on Sundays.

Financial Peace University is a course designed by Dave Ramsey and is designed to help individuals and families get out of financial peril, budget, and become debt free. The class will meet each Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. through September. The class is free for the first 10 families and child care is provided for anyone who attends.
