LITTLE ROCK — The number of homes sold in Arkansas in November decreased by nearly 3 percent compared with a year earlier, while the number of homes sold in Pulaski County decreased 8 percent during the same time period, the Arkansas Realtors Association said Tuesday.

The average price of homes sold statewide increased by 0.4 percent, while the increase was 2 percent in Pulaski County.

The association said 1,827 homes sold in the 43-county area it surveyed in November, down from 1,880 in November 2012. The average price of a home was $151,350, up from $150,777 a year earlier.

Benton County had the most homes sold in November with 295, followed by Pulaski County with 293, Washington County with 169, Saline County with 107 and Faulkner County with 94.

Average home prices for the month were highest in Izard County at $318,000, followed by Perry County at $285,000, Cleburne County at $192,707, Pulaski County at $188,148 and Washington County at $182,563.

The number of homes sold in Pulaski County in November 2013 was 293, compared to 319 in November 2012. For the year to date through November, 4,117 homes had been sold, up from the 3,858 homes sold during the same time period in 2012.

Average prices in Pulaski County for November were $188,148, which was up compared to $183,929 in November 2012. For the year to date, the average home price was $190,443, compared to $187,706 for the same period in 2012.
