Incidents reported to Maumelle police through Sept. 20:

Maumelle Boulevard and Millwood Circle: On Sept. 13, Christopher Green, 22, of North Little Rock was arrested and charged with DWI, Possession of a controlled substance and following too close. Officer Sterling Pruitt said when he stopped Green on a traffic stop, Green had "watery, bloodshot eyes and smelled of intoxicants." He said Green had a previous DUI and a DWI and he "was swaying while standing and walking and moved very slowly." After failing field sobriety tests, Green was arrested and during inventory of his Oldsmobile Alero police said they found 3 round green pills that Green allegedly told police he "received as payment for a ride to the liquor store." He said the pills were identified as Diazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance. Green registered a blood alcohol count of 0.152 on a Breathalyzer test, almost twice the legal limit and police said because of the drugs found they also took a urine test,

Millwood Circle & Leisurewood Lane: On Sept. 6, Nevia Nicole Gillespie, 34, of Conway was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police answered a call about a stolen vehicle, a Mercury Grand Marquis. Gillespie told police she had permission to use the car from Freddie Nelson, who is listed as one of the registered owners. The other registered owner, Natasha Kirkwood told police it had been stolen. Kirkwood gave police permission to search and in Gillespie’s purse, they said they found 3.1 grams of marijuana.

14322 Frontier Drive: On Sept 9, Justin L. Smith, 23, of North Little Rock was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance after police said they found a total of 14.1 grams of marijuana. Police said Smith was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Shanell Moody, 23, of Little Rock backed into a parking spot at the hotel. The first bag of marijuana was found on Smith and the second in a similar bag found in the back seat of the patrol car after Smith was transported to jail.

4 Village Way: On Sept. 11, Dylan Nathan Poff, 30, of Maumelle was arrested and charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, endangering the welfare of a minor, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, three felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. Police said several drugs were seized in the arrest including Alrazolam/Meperidine, Fentahyl patches, Meperidine/Alprazolam, Alrazolam/Memeridine, and four unknown drugs. A weapon seized included a Winchester 30-30 lever action rifle, and other items seized included a glass marijuana pipe, electric scales, syringes, spoons and a black case of Crown Royal.

20514 Arkansas Highway 365 Waffle House: On Sept. 17, Clarence Parker, Jr., was arrested and charged with failure to appear on an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Sherwood.


117 Audubon Drive: On Sept. 12, Anna Cimino told police several forged checks had been cashed on her company’s bank account at Centennial Bank. This particular check was passed at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Center. Police said the checks were forged to look like they were issued by Regions Bank and that similar checks had been forged and used in Cabot, Lonoke and Sherwood.

110 Commons Drive: On Sept. 13, Ronald Maddox, 71, of Maumelle told police he last saw his wallet while shopping at Kroger but that the Discover card was used at Wal-Mart in Sherwood and at U.S. Bank in North Little Rock.

1010 Carnahan Drive: On Sept. 13, Mike Musil, the new manager of the Maumelle Sonic told police a middle aged white woman driving a white Honda Civic had passed a counterfeit $20 bill.

117 Audubon Drive: On Sept. 14, Marcella McClellan, 83, of Maumelle told police two black females picked her pocket at Wal-Mart taking her wallet from her purse which was inside of her purse in her shopping cart. The two women stopped her and asked a question about tape.

20710 Arkansas Highway 365 North Lake Liquor: On Sept. 17, Karyn Watkins, 61, of Maumelle told police they received a forged check in the amount of $472 written on a First State Bank account.


43 Prince Drive: On Sept. 15, Glenn L. Martin, 59, of Maumelle told police his brick mailbox had been knocked over.
