Incidents reported to Maumelle police through March 13:
2002 Murphy Drive: On Mar. 1, Thomas J. Dehart, 32, of Cabot was arrested on an outstanding Maumelle warrant when he turned himself in. Police said they found another outstanding warrant from White County and after processing for the Maumelle warrant he was turned over to White County deputies.
10 Vantage Point Drive: On Mar. 1, Michael B. Underwood, 40, of North Little Rock was involved in a disturbance on Vantage Point Drive and when officers checked his background they lead he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for parole violation. The Arkansas Department of Community Correction had revoked Underwood’s parole so Maumelle officers took him to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center.
24 Kings Park Drive: On Mar. 1, Blake Sowell, 26, of Maumelle was arrested and charged with theft of property and possession of controlled substance after police found six Xanax bars and a stolen white towel. North Little Rock police officers came to town looking for Sowell in conjunction of an incident at the Red Lobster restaurant in North Little Rock. When NLRPD officers had Sowell empty his pockets they said they found the Xanax bars and Maumelle officers made the charges. He was taken to Maumelle police headquarters and booked then released. Since he didn’t have a ride home, Maumelle officers offered to give him a ride but on the way the dispatcher called to say that videotape of the front of police headquarters showed Sowell allegedly taking a towel front the front lobby.
Officers turned around and brought Sowell back to police headquarters where after police said they read him his Miranda rights, Sowell allegedly admitted taking the towel. He was then charged with theft of property.
Maumelle Boulevard: On Mar. 1, Brittany Smith, 21, of Maumelle was first arrested by North Little Rock police on an outstanding warrant for criminal contempt of court. NLRPD officers turned Smith over to Maumelle police.
39 Ozark Drive: On Mar. 4, Ryan Andrew Clowers, 19, of Alexander was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after police drove by and saw two people in a 2006 Chevrolet, Clowers and Ashley Rogers, whom officer Johnathon Johnson said allegedly had "her head in Clowers’ lap. During a search of the vehicle Johnson said he found 0.6 grams of marijuana in a marijuana cigar. He was released to a bail bondsman who made his bail.
2002 Murphy Drive: On Mar. 4, April London, 35, of Little Rock was arrested and charged with failure to pay rent or vacate after she turned herself in.
Pike Plaza Shopping Center, North Little Rock: On Mar. 4, Jason Lee Herring, 30 of Rose City was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear when he stopped by the Arkansas Department of Community Punishment office and they discovered the outstanding warrant.
Arkansas Department of Correction’s McPherson Unit, Newport: On Dec. 26, Carma Thompson, 39, of Hasley, Texas was arrested at the prison by Detective Laura Robinson and Detective Glyneth Hicks on warrants out of Maumelle District Court alleging four counts of forgery and four counts of theft of property involving four checks $475 written on her parents account. She was taken to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center.
Maumelle Boulevard and Carnahan Drive: On Feb. 27, Arkansas State Police notified Maumelle that a vehicle they had lost during a high speed chase was just seen in Maumelle. Police found and stopped the vehicle in the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market parking lot. Police said they found outstanding warrants on the two in the vehicle. Police said they found a bag full of different prescription drugs and two credit cards in a strangers name. Kenneth Wesley Davis, 48, of Judsonia was charged with five felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended driver’s licence, and improper use of registration. Davis was taken to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center but they refused to accept him when he told them he had a hernia.
101 Murphy Drive: On Mar. 5, Melanie Thompson, 42, of Bryant was arrested by Maumelle Police after they received a call from Magnolia Police asking for assistance in serving a warrant alleging Defrauding Secured Creditors. After she was arrested at her place of work, BEI, she was given to Magnolia Police when they came for her.
1000 Union Court: ON Mar. 5, April Yolanda Morgan, 38, of Maumelle was arrested on a warrant alleging Failure to Pay Rent or Vacate. She paid the bond and was released.
Maumelle Boulevard and Odom Boulevard South: On Mar. 8, Jane Ankney, 46, of Benton was arrested and charged with DWI and driving on a revoked driver’s license. Officer Justin Woods said he was dispatched to the scene on a report of a reckless driver and then an accident at Murphy Drive and Carnahan Drive where he said he found Ankey outside her vehicle. He said she complained about a black truck following her but she couldn’t explain how she ended up across four lanes of traffic facing the wrong direction where she wrecked. Woods said one tire was flat and he traced that back to Murphy Drive where she first hit a curb and blew the tire out. Ankey complained about her head hurting so Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services was called and she was transported to the hospital where police said they asked her permission to take a blood sample which she agreed.
117 Audobon Drive: On Mar. 1, Officer Clifton McClintock was off duty called to report a shoplifting incident he said he observed while shopping at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. He said he witnessed a black male push a shopping cart with several personal hygiene items. He gave police a description of the vehicle and its license plate. Lt. Scotty Bryant who responded said a priority call prevented anyone for responding until 30 minutes later.
11 Blue Mountain Drive: On Mar. 2, Reginia Binz reported an auto break-in in which someone stole her keys and a cell phone charger from her unlocked vehicle.
121 Rolling Oaks Drive: On Mar. 2, Christopher Parent, 55, said his 2008 BMW was broken into and several items stolen including a Sirius Radio. The car was locked but when he checked it and discovered the theft, it was unlocked.
63 Rolling Oaks Drive: On Mar. 4, Connie Horn told police someone had driven a car through her yard tearing it up.
301 Pine Forest Drive: On Mar. 4, Lynette Clark, 29, told police someone broke into her apartment and took a 50-inch Plasma TV, $650 cash, Nintendo Wii, two controllers, a Sega Genesis and several Sega games.
3001 Club Manor Drive: On Mar. 11, Doyle Cannady, 74, told police he witnessed a man drive up and dispose of two garbage bags into the business’s dumpster of Splash Car Wash..
