Opening the week, Central Arkansas Christian’s Mustang soccer team had handily won five games since Spring Break.

They knocked off Vilonia, 3-0; Pulaski Robinson, 9-0; Sylvan Hills, 8-1; Benton Harmony Grove, 12-0; and Wickes, 11-0, to improve to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in 2-4A conference play.

"I have several seniors, Dylan Sherrill, Josh Holland, Beau Barnes and Seth Peterson, who are excellent leaders and role models for our younger players," CAC coach Fabian Mina said. "This helps for good engagement among the players, which has helped our offense be productive."

The Mustangs were to face Arkadelphia on Monday and Episcopal Collegiate on Tuesday before playing host to Gurdon on Friday and Little Rock Christian on Monday, April 15.

Arkadelphia and Gurdon are also conference opponents.

"In high school boys’ soccer, every game is a challenge," Mina said. "We never overlook any opponents because we always want to play at our best."
