The 21st Annual Sherwood Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be held Tuesday, May 2 at Sherwood Forest. North Little Rock First United Methodist Church, 6701 John F. Kennedy Blvd.,: There’s so much happening at NLR First United Methodist during Holy Week 2017! A Maundy Thursday Service will take place on Thursday, April 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the church Sanctuary.

Then, a Tenebrae service will be the focus on Good Friday. This special service will feature 7 presenters reading the seven final words Jesus spoke from the cross with a reflection offered after each. Hymns and anthems from the choir and congregation will be interspersed in-between. The Tenebrae service will take place April 14, also at 6:30 p.m., also in the church Sanctuary.

A special one-day, VBS-like, family event will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents/grandparents are welcome to walk and participate through the event with their children. Everyone will be put into groups to go from one activity to another, each focused on the Resurrection of our Savior. All ages of children are welcome! If your child has to come alone, that is fine. There will be leaders with each group. However, if your child is under 3 or not potty trained, they have to have a parent stay with them. We hope to see you there!

Easter Sunday will be a glorious day to celebrate our Risen Savior on April 16!
