The Cross Cultural Ministry of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ is holding a prayer walk this Saturday, April 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lake Willastein Park in Maumelle. Everyone is invited to participate.
The walk will begin with opening remarks at the stage area near the rear of the park and then proceed to four set stations around the lake, stopping at each to pray and meditate on one of the following goals:
PEACE: We all want peace in our lives. Where can you find such peace? Come, let’s share and discover together in community just what it means to have a peace that is not of this World! (John 16: 33, 14: 27)
LOVE: Love is a choice. Love is intentional. It is because of the unconditional love demonstrated at the cross that we are given the gift of perfect love to show to others. We love others in truth of the Word and with the heart of a faithful servant. (1 John 3:18, 4:16, 18, 21)
UNITY: Because we are one in Christ, let us pray that every Christian strives as one. We will connect with each other, grow in faith, serve the community, and share our faith within our congregations and throughout the community. (Gal: 3:28)
SERVICE: To build the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we must render our service with joyful hearts in the Lord and brotherly love; if we do not, it profits neither His kingdom nor those we serve. (Mark 10:45, Galatians 5:13)

Intended to foster fellowship and understanding among Christians of all ethnicities, nationalities, and backgrounds, the Cross Cultural Ministry was formed in accordance with Paul’s writing to the Corinthians church: “Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”
