Maumelle AARP Chapter No. 5359 will meet at 6 p.m. this Thursday, July 13, at the new Maumelle Center on the Lake, 2 Club Manor Cove behind Kroger and to the left of the new Fire Station.

This is a great opportunity to meet with your Maumelle neighbors and make new friends. Also if you want to see the new center, this will be a great opportunity to do so.

Our program, titled “Fireworks and Abandoned Houses: My Life Collecting Arkansas History” will be presented by Tim Nutt, a historian from UAMS. Especially if you are interested in the history of Arkansas, this will be a program you won’t want to miss.

We invite anyone, the age of 50 and over, to attend our meeting. Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there. For more information, call President Carol Slaymaker at 529-9833 or membership chairperson Fred Fleming at 350-6102.
