New students can register for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students, as well as those new to the Pulaski County Special School District.


Elementary school students will need to be registered at their zoned schools.

To register a student, parents or guardians need to present proper identification, which includes a birth certificate or a registrar statement, baptismal certificate, passport, affidavit or military identification, along with immunization records and social security card.


Proof of residence is also necessary, which requires a current utility bill (gas, water or electric), a Little Rock Air Force Base housing verification form, home purchase closing papers or lease agreement. In addition, PCSSD ‘s Student Nutrition Department has partnered with OneSource Online Instant Processor, whose application entry makes it easy and convenient to apply for meal benefits for student. “Simply enter the requested information as accurately as possible, and all data will be instantly and securely sent to us for processing. Start your family’s meal benefits sooner by entering your information now!” reads a release issued by the Pulaski County Special School District.


The district is also currently looking for new substitute teachers.“Do you have the desire to work with children? Do you interact with staff in a professional manner? Do you have excellent communication skills? Reads a release from the Pulaski County Special School District. “Do you have the ability to lead? Can you pass a State background check? Would you like to earn some extra money?” Do you like creating your own schedule?


The release continued, “If you answered ‘yes,’ the Pulaski County Special School District needs you.”


Pulaski County Special School District utilizes the services of PCMI Staffing Services for substitute services.


“PCMI is currently hiring substitute teachers and substitute para professionals for positions in the PCSSD,” according to the news release.
