Veterans Day at the sub
The Razorback Base, United States Submarine Veterans, Inc., will hold a brief Veterans Day Ceremony this Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum in North Little Rock.
The ceremony will honor two World War II Navy veterans, Frederick Weilminster and Troy Edwards, and be followed by a free lunch donated by Ben E. Keith. You can tour the submarine, USS Razorback, for free from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

League title game
While not quite Veterans Day, North Little Rock Parks & Rec will be hosting some veterans, as part of its fall basketball league championship game at 6 p.m. this Thursday at the North Little Rock Community Center on Willow.
The game will feature the league’s defending champs, the Bulldogs, against Army.
A team composed entirely of members of the Army Reserve.
