Community Theater of Jacksonville will present three performances of Joe Landry’s “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” Dec. 8 - 10 at Jacksonville Community Center.
The play is set in a 1940s radio studio theater, and is performed as a live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. It follows the story of George Bailey, who after a run of bad luck, thinks about ending his life on Christmas Eve in 1946. The story comes to life through a group of actors performing the large cast of characters, and is enhanced with live sound effects.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. for the Friday and Saturday productions, and 2:00 p.m. for the Sunday matinee.
Tickets cost $15 for adults, $13 for seniors 65+ and active duty military, and $10 for children 12 and younger. For more information, and to make reservations, call 286-3638.
