Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Stephana Loyd, who lives in Maumelle, was recently named Administrator of the Year at the North Metro Healthcare Awards luncheon. Underwritten by the University of Central Arkansas, the event was held Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the Centennial Valley Country Club in Conway.

The UCA North Metro Healthcare Awards honor individuals and companies that are making an impact on the overall health of the community they serve or their company employees. A panel of healthcare executives from across the country selects each year’s recipients.

Loyd, who has since retired, was one of four local healthcare professionals and one company recognized at the luncheon. Administrator of the Year recognizes and honors a member of a healthcare company’s leadership team in the North Metro area who is dedicated to exceptional organizational quality, empowers their team and has a passion for improving the community they serve.

Loyd joined the leadership team at Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway in 2015. She was instrumental in the opening of the new medical center where she helped to hire, staff and train new employees for the 111-bed hospital.

Loyd holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from UCA and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Other awards presented at the luncheon included Nurse of the Year, Workplace Wellness Award, Physician of the Year and Healthcare Professional of the Year.
