Cynthia Wyman-Bookwalter, of Jacksonville, was one of several University of Arkansas at Little Rock students from the School of Social Work who were honored at the National Association of Social Workers Arkansas Annual Conference.


Wyman-Bookwalter won the award for the best student poster in program/intervention by a Bachelor of Social Work student for her poster, “Intellectual and Hungry: Assessing Food Insecurity.”


Additionally, UALR also won the competition for having the largest percentage increase in new student members for 2018.


The 39th annual conference was held March 28-30 at the Little Rock Marriott and celebrated social workers on the “Frontiers of Change” happening at the local, state, and national level.
