Founder Beckham and Karla Allen explain: “When you donate used or new shoes, Ozark Water Projects exports them to distributors in South America, Haiti and Kenya. Shoe resale builds the local economy with micro businesses and affordable shoes for pennies on the dollar or barter. Funds generated are used to purchase well-digging rigs, water purification systems, and other supplies to bring clean, fresh water to those in need.” A shipment of shoes is being gathered Aug. 1.
