NLR woman chosen for leadership post

A North Little Rock woman is one of 41 individuals from all four corners of the state representing various professional backgrounds who were recently selected for Leadership Arkansas Class VII.

Phillis Anderson of North Little Rock is vice president of the Southern Region of Lighthosue Academics Inc. She will be part of Leadership Arkansas which is a program designed to take a statewide view of the economic and political challenges that face the state. Created by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas, Inc., Leadership Arkansas builds a sense of statewide community by identifying and training individuals with the passion and commitment to become personally engaged in issues, programs and activities aimed at building a better Arkansas.

Leadership Arkansas Class VII was officially introduced at a class retreat held from Sept. 23 to Sept. 25 at the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs. Leadership Arkansas is presented by ARcare.
