Tara Renee Wittenburg and Michael Joseph Rogers exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Sherwood with Dr. Richard Lee officiating.

The bride given in marriage by her father wore a ivory sweetheart neckline A-line organza dress with sparkling belt at waistline and a shoulder length ivory veil and she carried an all white bouquet of peonies and hydrangeas.

Sydney Milby of Sherwood and Rachel Martin of Kansas City, Mo. served as maid of honors. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Hale of El Dorado, Chante Snow of Cabot and Brittany Howell of Conway. They wore gray floor length chiffon with a sweetheart neckline and carried anemones.

Kenny Rogers of Sherwood, brother of the groom served as the best man. Groomsmen were Keith Dye of Bentonville, Jeremy Avery of Maumelle, and Adam Rogers of Carlisle, cousin of the groom.

Guest were seated by Clay Sanders and Noah Treat both of Sherwood. Eliana Morton of Van Buren served as flower girl and Will Lassiter of Scott served as ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Greens at North Hills. Music was provided by Julia Lindsey of Moore, Okla., aunt of the bride and Tim Blann of Sherwood.

The bride is the daughter of Suzan and Mark Wittenburg of Sherwood. She is the granddaughter of Faye Lassiter of North Little Rock and the late Willard Lassiter and Linda and Paul Wittenburg of Little Rock. She is a 2004 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and 2010 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor of science in nursing. She is employed with Arkansas Children’s Hospital as a registered nurse at the Heart Center.

The groom is the son of Sharon and Joseph Rogers of Sherwood. He is the grandson of Martha Rogers of Sherwood and the late Werner D. Rogers and Laverne Way of England and the late Wesley Way. He is a 2001 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and a bachelor of health and exercise science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is employed with Caterpillar as a welder in North Little Rock.

After a honeymoon trip to Sandals at St. Lucia the couple will reside in Sherwood.
