The Kiwanis Club of North Little Rock again presented their annual Community Prayer Breakfast called the National Day of Prayer Breakfast. on May 2 at the Wyndham Hotel where over 250 were in attendance. The principal speaker was Dr. Fitz Hill, President of Arkansas Baptist College and former football coach at the University of Arkansas. Mayor Joe Smith of North Little Rock also spoke as well as Kiwanis President Jim Lincicome. The Rev. Randy Jumper of First Assembly of God Church was the Kiwanis Chairman of the event and master of ceremonies. A color guard and soloist Shana Cobbs of the North Little Rock Police Department participated. The theme this year was "Pray for America." Various churches, clubs, government officials and employees, and other organizations attended and many bought tables of ten. Renita Noble of Noble Events furnished the decorations. Prayers were also offered by Lt. Jason Sebo of the Salvation Army in North and Rev. Jeff Pry of City Connections.
