American Red Cross Disaster Responders recently provided emergency replacement of food, clothing and shelter in local hotel after a fire after midnight damaged eight residences at Parkway Valley Apartments, 2000 Parkway Drive, North Little Rock.
The fire displaced twelve people, including two children.
"As we approach the end of Fire Prevention Month, this fire is another reminder for persons living in apartments, condominiums and lofts to invest in renter’s insurance, as your neighbor’s fire could be yours", stated American Red Cross Regional Communication Officer Brigette Williams. "And, everyone is reminded to have a working fire alarm and evacuation plan at home, work and school."
All American Red Cross disaster relief is provided at no cost to individuals impacted by disasters. Fire safety tips can be found at www.arkansasredcross.org
