The Thea Foundation is seeking volunteers for the upcoming Thea Arts Festival on Saturday in North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District that will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Now in its third year, the Festival will feature 30 exhibiting artists, hands-on activities, artists demonstrations, three hot musical acts, and more.

To help make the Festival one of the best arts-focused events of its kind in the state, Thea is seeking community service volunteers because are needed to assist with event logistics, visual and performing arts setup, activity booths, serve as greeters, tear down, and clean up.

"And of course, volunteering is best if done with those you know," said Shanta Nunn-Baro of the Thea Foundation. "So we encourage you to invite your family, friends, neighbors, your Meet Up Group, company and more to join you in this celebration of the arts through the giving of your time."

Volunteer Opportunities

Office Assistant through April 26. Assists with overall event logistics, makes follow up calls and confirmations, data entry, runs errands. On day of festival, assists with check in, answers question, handles lost and found and other duties as needed.

Age 21 or older:

Event Check In: Signs in volunteers, artists, musicians, demonstrators and answers questions.

Age 16 or older:

Activities: Assists with youth activities and artists demonstrations.

Age 16 or older:

Floater: Directs participants to their locations, greets festival attendees, provides information about activities, artists, performances, reports problems to event management team and/or security officers. Picks up litter throughout event.

Age 16 or older:

Artist Market: Helps artists with set up and manages booth during artist breaks.

Age 16 or older:

Musician Stage: Helps backstage and on-stage with setup and tear down of performing artists’ equipment and other backstage needs.

Age 16 or older:

Event Setup and Tear Down: Loading equipment, setup and tear down of tents, chairs, tables, placing signage, setup of stage. trash cans. Volunteers are needed on Friday evening beginning at 11 p.m.

Age 16 or older:

Clean Up: Picks up litter, empty trash and recycle throughout and after festival.
