Dr. Donald "Don" Anthony Laurenzana, of North Little Rock, died Monday, Jan. 14. He was born January 19, 1942 in Chicago, Ill. to Dr. Frank and Mrs. Mary Laurenzana. He attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1966. He then entered medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, graduating in 1971. He was in family practice in North Little Rock and Sherwood for his entire career, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Laurenzana of North Little Rock; daughter, Elizabeth Laurenzana of State College, Pa.; son, Frank Laurenzana of Boulder, Colo.; stepchildren, Tom and Angela Casteel of North Little Rock; two grandchildren; sisters, Mary Musolf of Hot Springs, Judy Schuele of Clearwater, Fla., and Lola Laurenzana of Santa Fe, N.M.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at Saturday, Jan. 19 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel in North Little Rock, with Reverend Richard Lancaster, pastor of Lakewood United Methodist Church officiating.
