Francis Esch died peacefully at his home early July 11 at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving partner, Marion Scott, and by their children, Steve Esch, Keith Esch, John Esch, Rachel Manchester and Steven Scott; and by grandchildren Cole and Luke Manchester, and Samantha Jo, Darla and Damien Scott. Fran was retired from the AC Delco Division of General Motors. He served over a three-man crew of a naval aircraft maintenance squadron on the USS Princeton and the USS Oriskany for his full four-year enlistment during the Korean conflict. He was an avid snow skier and windsurfer, traveling all around the world seeking a steeper slope and higher wind following his retirement from GM. He chose to have no memorial service, preferring to be remembered as he lived.
