Gene Mullenax, 79, of North Little Rock died Monday, July 23, 2012. He was born in Salito. He was a member of North Little Rock’s First Assembly of God for 26 years.
He completed four-year sheet metal journeyman school, was an entrepreneur and a pilot and a youth minister in Baton Rouge for several years before returning to Little Rock. He was a pastor who led churches to hook up by satellite TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Julia Brannon Jackson; three brothers, D. E. Mullenax, A.J. Mullenax and O. H. "Bill" Mullenax; and two sisters, Adelle Allison and Thelma Ebsen.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Judy Mullenax; two sons, Robert "Bob" Mullenax and Dave Mullenax and wife Julie; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Roller Owens Funeral Home, with Pastor Rod Loy and Pastor Tony Minick officiating.
