Harlon Samuel Laycook, 85, of North Little Rock, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.

He was born in Faulkner County, Ark. to Edd and Blanche Laycook.

His parents; siblings, Vernon Laycook, Jody Laycook, Mary Wickliffe, Lois Hill, Emma Laycook; son, Michael Laycook Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Gail Laycook, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Laycook; sister, Gladys Carter and husband Tommy of Conway; children, Ronald Laycook and wife Kay, and Regina Laycook, all of North Little Rock, Robert Laycook and wife Jane of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Michael Laycook, Jr., Michelle Beck, Christina Pierce all of North Little Rock, Alicia Loveless of Bryant; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., today, Thursday, Feb. 27 at North Little Rock Funeral Home; burial will be at Round Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
