Herbert Henry Wolf, Jr., 91, of North Little Rock, died Sunday, Jan. 27. Born in Little Rock to Herbert and June Maas Wolf, he attended Washington and Lee University and, following his military service, graduated from the University of Arkansas.
A member of the Greatest Generation, he served in the United States Army during WWII in the campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, Central Europe, the Rhineland and the Ardennes, for which he was awarded five Bronze Service Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. He was an employee of M.M.Cohn and Block Realty and also sold stocks and bonds.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Cherry Cameron Wolf; daughter, Debbie Stroud and husband Danny of Sherwood; sons, Bert Wolf and wife Amber of Bryant and Bob Wolf and wife Becky of Conway; sister, Betty Lou Epstein of Prairie Village, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral will be held tat 11:30 a.m., today, at Little Rock Funeral Home, with Barry Wingfield officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society and to the American Heart Association.
