Horten Hurn died Dec. 28. He was born on Dec. 12, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri. He ran off and joined the Navy and after serving in World War II he moved to Little Rock and worked for his father’s business, Superior Spring Company of North Little Rock for 26 years.
He ran off and started his own business, Hurn’s Superior Alignment in Little Rock and worked with his son and wife for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes (LeBrier) Hurn and Orville Ray Hurn; daughter, Alice Martin; brother, Roy Hurn; and sister, Juanita Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Hurn; son, Donald Hurn and wife Nancy; sister, Betty Kaplan; grandsons, Benjamin Hurn and wife Heather, Paul Hurn and wife Holly; granddaughters, Jennifer Hurn, Hannah Paulling and husband Sam, and Amanda Dean and husband Frank; great-granddaughters, Lauren and Mackenzie Tracy; son-in-law, Billy Martin, and many family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m., today at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5 North, Alexander.
