James C. Archer, Sr., 72, of North Little Rock, died Friday, Jan. 25. He was born in England, to Leo Herbert and Lois Edith Freeman Archer.

He served as a Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputy for two years and worked in the auto parts industry with Crow-Burlingame Co. for forty years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James C. Archer, Jr.; and sister, Faye Dean Sain.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Stanphill Archer; sons, Scott Archer and wife Stacey of Fort Smith, and Darin Todd Archer and wife Lisa of Texarkana, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Vicki Archer of North Little Rock; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Bayou Meto Cemetery, Hwy 107, Jacksonville, with Pastor Phillip McClure officiating.

The family requests memorial fund be made to the North Little Rock Police Athletic League at Centennial Bank and donations may be made to the James Archer Memorial Fund, Attention: Lisa, at any Centennial Bank location.
