Jane Moore, 82 of Jacksonville, died Jan. 9. She was born Feb. 13, 1930 in Ladoga, Ind. to James Ernest and Thelma Carver Myers. She graduated from the St. Louis City Hospital School of Nursing. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. She was cherished by her dear friends, the Needle Nuts who traveled and sewed together for more than forty years. She was a very active member of her local bridge club.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Manning; infant son, James Dewey Moore and her sister, Vivian Kalweit.
Survivors include her husband, Rex Moore of the home; daughter, Sandy Moore of Little Rock; sons, Jeff Moore of Chicago, Ill., Dave Moore of Gravel Ridge; grandchildren, Josh Moore and wife Emily of Jacksonville, Shanna Haney also of Jacksonville, Katie and Grant Moore of Madison, Wis., Indigo Anderson-Moore of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Erin Moore of Jacksonville; and Barbara Hostetler of Madison, Wis.
Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 12 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
