North Little Rock coach Brad Bolding is going to Oregon — again.

For the third consecutive year, the Charging Wildcats have a player who has been invited to Nike Camp as part of ESPN’s top 150 athletes.

Cornerback Kavin Alexander will be honored by spending four days next week in Oregon at Nike’s headquarters.

The last two seasons, former North Little Rock and current Alabama freshman Altee Tenpenny attended the camp.

Alexander secured his invite after winning and nearly setting records in the SPARQ competition in Dallas earlier this year. His raw stats include a 40-yard dash time of 4.27 seconds and a 42-inch vertical leap.

Alexander can also toss a power ball 42 feet and challenged the state record in the 100-meter dash at 10.5 seconds.

Despite those eyebrow raising numbers, Alexander leaves for Oregon without a scholarship offer in hand. Bolding says his hands won’t be empty for long.

"He’s a quality kid," Bolding said, "with tremendous work ethic."

Bolding said that Alexander has a chance to do what Tenpenny didn’t — win the whole thing.

Tenpenny came in second in each of the last two seasons.
