At about 5:26 p.m., police were dispatched to the parking lot of Walgreens in reference to a vehicle accident. Esperanza Rodriquez of Sherwood said she was driving through the parking lot when her left front wheel came off her vehicle, resulting in $300 of damage. She told police she did not hit anything. Rodriquez said she had work done to her car about four months ago.
Cassandra Booker-Ifediora of Little Rock said she was attempting to leave Zaxby’s parking lot on Brookswood Drive and realized she pulled too far into the northbound lane. As she attempted to back up she struck another vehicle driven by Kevin Wolmrans of Little Rock. Wolrans’ Honda S2000 sustained $200 of damage.
The Sherwood Fire Department responded to Highway 67/167 near the I-440 exit in reference to a Chevrolet Impala that had caught on fire. Upon arrival firefighters said the vehicle parked off the roadway with heavy smoking. Terry Braylon of Jacksonville said he was the driver and was headed northbound on the highway to his Jacksonville home. He told firefighters the engine shut off as he was driving and then started smoking. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 in reference to a private property accident where Christopher Lewis of North Little Rock said he was backing form a parking space when he struck the 2008 Dodge Charger of Jamal Thomas of North Little Rock. Lewis said he did not see Thomas prior to the collision. Thomas’ vehicle sustained $200 of damage.
Dwayne Williams of Sherwood said that about 11:15 a.m. William Ligon of Conway came through the ATM at Regions Bank on Kiehl Avenue with a U-haul truck. Ligon struck the bottom of the roof, damaging the drain pipe and scratching some of the metal on the edge of the roof. Damage totaled $500.
William Ross, 39, of Sherwood was issued a citation for DWI and careless/prohibited driving after police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on East Kiehl Avenue turn north onto Brockington Road into the far left lane. The vehicle then cross the middle line and straddled it for several seconds.
