Central Arkansas Christian’s Lady Mustang soccer team was 7-0 by a combined score of 49-1 heading into Monday’s game with Baptist Prep.

Only Joe T. Robinson had scored on the Lady Mustangs.

Since spring break, the Lady Mustangs have wins over Malvern, 8-0; Baptist Prep, 3-0; and Bauxite, 6-0.

“We have had a couple of rainouts that we will have to make up,” coach Carter Lambert said Monday, referring to Robinson again and Benton Harmony Grove. “We didn’t play extremely well against Malvern and Baptist. Lots of missed opportunities against Baptist, and they played hard.

“We need to finish better tonight.”

The Lady Mustangs will visit Class 7A Mount St. Mary on Thursday.

“We are looking forward to that one,” Lambert said. “We hope to be competitive. They are a very good team. That will help us see where we are as we approach the post-season.”

He said he expected to have a full team for the first time Monday in the rematch with Baptist.

“I am looking forward to experimenting with different combinations,” Lambert said.

The Lady Mustangs are scheduled to play host to Malvern on Monday,
