BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Alex Gosser, the Arkansas Razorbacks senior backup catcher from North Little Rock was honored Wednesday by the SEC Office in Birmingham as named to the SEC’s Baseball Community Service team.


Gosser’s involvement in good works include the Miracle League of Arkansas helping through baseball kids with mental and physical disabilities, the Dream Center of Arkansas helping prepare Thanksgiving dinners for underprivileged families, the Angel Tree gift program, ringing bells in front of business before Christmas for the Salvation Army, and singing before Christmas at nursing homes, volunteering at summer baseball camps while playing summer ball for the Kalamazoo (Michigan) Growlers in the Northwoods League and helping raise money for Christmas toys for the underprivileged kids through the Arkansas Baseball Toy Drive, and assistant the Make A Wish program for kids on their birthday to meet a Razorback and helping the 1 and 1 Ministries collect baseball equipment distributed to the underprivileged in Nicaragua.
