Both the North Little Rock Lady Charging Wildcats and Charging Wildcats can make statements in their quests for the 7A-Central conference title Friday.

North Little Rock travels Friday to Fort Smith Northside for a 7A-Central showdown. The Lady Wildcats (21-3) lead the conference with a 10-1 mark. Northside (21-3) is 9-2 after a 56-52 loss at Conway on Tuesday. If the Lady Wildcats win, they will maintain the top spot. A loss means the two teams will be tied for the lead. In the first meeting between the two, North Little Rock won in five overtimes, 80-74.

The Lady Wildcats stayed atop the conference with easy victories in their last two games. Last Friday, they defeated Fort Smith Southside, 66-32. Senior Yo’Myris Morris recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Amber Hawkison added 13 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals.

This past Tuesday, they defeated Mount St. Mary, 68-23. After Northside, North Little Rock finishes the season with home games against Bryant on Tuesday and Cabot next Friday.
