Let the waiting begin.

North Little Rock took care of business Saturday as the Cats easily took down Little Rock Central, 77-38, in the Class 7A girls semifinals at North Little Rock.

Now, all that’s left, is finding out when they play.

The Arkansas Activities Association will announce the finals schedule on Sunday and check back here for that.

For North Little Rock, it is the school’s third consecutive trip to the finals and sixth trip to the finals for North Little Rock coach Daryl Fimple.

“We picked a good time to be playing well,” Fimple said after the game.

Fimple and success have gone hand in hand during his tenure.

“That was out 11 trip to the semifinals in 13 seasons,” he said and then added, when asked how long he had been at North Little Rock, “thirteen seasons.”

De’Myla Brown led all scorers with 23 points, while senior forward Yo’Myris Morris added 15 points and pulled down 20 rebounds. Amber Hawkison was also in double figures with 12 points.

North Little Rock won a state title in 2016, lost to Fayetteville last season, and will now face Conway in the championship game.

Conway, North Little Rock and Fort Smith Northside finished in a perfect three-tie for the 7A-Central conference championship during the regular season.

Conway defeated Northside in the other semifinal.
